Double Elevation at West Lancs 65 R.A.M

West Lancs 65 R.A.M meets on Saturdays at Liverpool Masonic Hall and opened 2025 with a double Elevation, on 25th Jan. The Commander, WBro John Barnes opened the Lodge and sailed through the items on the summons which included a successful ballot for two new candidates. WBro Barnes then asked WBro Derek Gaskell, a past Commander of Ormskirk Priory R.A.M to take the chair and conduct the Elevation ceremony.

The candidates, Bros Paul Green and Mark Lawrence, are both members of West Lancs. Mark Lodge No 65. (Dedication; Brother Mark Lawrence had just come out of hospital after a major operation, but did not want to miss the chance of joining the degree of Royal Ark Mariner.)

Derek conducted the ceremony and gave the explanations of the Signs and Working Tools, in his usual individual style. WBro Graham Edwards, Senior Warden; gave the explanation of the steps. WBro John Barnes welcomed Paul and Mark into the Lodge and WBro Steve Walls, the PGMs Special Rep, greeted Paul and Mark on behalf of the PGM and presented them each with a Provincial RAM tie. With the candidates safely on board, WBro Gaskell invited the Commander to retake the helm and navigate the Lodge through the rest of the meeting. West Lancs 65 R.A.M has welcomed three candidates into the order in the last two meetings and we wish the Lodge good luck in attracting more candidates in the future.

Congratulations must also go to the Lodge secretary, WBro Roy Ashley for his tireless efforts to strengthen the membership of Lodge. We wish Paul and Mark many happy years in the Royal Ark Mariner degree.

Sorry there are no photos of the candidates due to a technical problem.
